Parks and Recreation Aide 6 (Seasonal)

- Responsible for the overall on site management of the NYSDEC, Taylor Pond Campground - Will be required to live at the campground during period of employment, without exception (see Recreation Manual #211.1); work undefined hours, ensuring continued operation of your park, with a limited, if any, assigned amount of overtime; work all weekends and holidays through the summer, unless otherwise excused; and operate an outboard engine boat. - Must be even tempered and capable of effectively communicating rules and regulation with the public as well as subordinates. - Must be able to enforce campsite rules and regulations as well as be present to respond to campground emergencies at the facility regardless of the time factor, day/night. - Must be able to handle and account for money and complete necessary closeout Revenue Reports. - Must be capable and willing to operate a personal computer for revenue accounting purposes and permit issuance. - Must be willing and able to oversee and do manual work in the parks (such as maintaining roads, grounds and facilities, cleaning toilets, lifting garbage cans chest high, using rakes and shovels, and operating push/riding lawn mowers.) - Must be well groomed, wear issued uniform, as well as work shoes, no sneakers. Issued clothing must be kept clean and presentable. - Must be willing and able to read and understand the Campground Operations Manual and perform all functions defined within. -Performs a variety weekly and monthly clerical related work. -Performs a variety of semiskilled related work in maintaining, repairing and constructing a wide variety of park structures, roads and other facilities. - Must be able and willing to supervise 3 or more employees. - Ensure that staff time sheets are electronically submitted and approved timely.

Salary Range:
From $18.97 to $18.97 Hourly
Minimum Qualification
Must be at least 18 years of age and have and maintain a valid driver's license. Preference may be given to candidates who possess prior supervisory experience in a recreation setting.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
